Brother's at Willow Ranch at 6223 U.S. 76, Young Harris, Georgia.

For multiple reasons (kitchen service, food, pricing, co-patrons, etc.), this was easily one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. Upon arriving, there were approximately one dozen empty tables, but for some reason, the salty hostess seated us at the table that backs up to the kitchen and to the area where others wait to be seated. Nearly all of the traffic in that restaurant wraps around that table. I asked if we could wait for any of the other available tables and the salty hostess got even saltier, though we were then immediately seated in a great booth. It was 15 minutes before we were then greeted by our server, and while that fifteen minutes passed we were subject to two of the loudest talking groups of people I have ever experienced. At one of the adjacent tables, there was your classic mediocre white guy slamming beers and telling all of us about the abundant wealth he generates working as an electrician. At the other adjacent table, there was a group of extremely loud-talking ladies who seemed to be out on a really bizarre sex-in-the-city type ladies weekend. The server eventually came, and despite the wait he was very kind and competent. We ordered our food and then waited a very very very long time for that food to arrive. The shepherd's pie I ordered (we went on St. Patrick's day) arrived cold. We waited again a very long time for the waiter to circle back around. When he did, I told him that the dish cold and asked for a fresh serving. The kitchen microwaved the dish, which lead to unpleasant varying heat zones of mashed potatoes with the top layer at lava level hotness, while the potatoes underneath were still cold. And to add insult to injury, the shepherd's pie was $16. Seriously, shepherd's pie is ground beef, mixed veggies, and mashed potatoes - $16 feels a bit excessive. This restaurant takes itself far too seriously. I will not return.
